Dr. Park's Cognition and Aging research program is focused around a common theme: understanding the interplay between neurobiological and experiential forces on cognitive function across the life span. From this general theme, three lines of research have been developed, each supported by a separate funded project. The first line, which is on the basic cognitive neuroscience of human aging, focuses on age-related changes in the neurobiological landscape that supports overt cognitive behaviors. The second line of research is focused on the study of aging, culture, and cognition. The third line of study addresses the impact of cognitive aging in everyday life.
