Mission Statement of the Champaign Park District:
To improve the quality of life for all residents through educational, recreational, cultural, and leisure opportunities.

Services:

The two senior centers offer a full schedule of daily activities, special interest classes, and field trips.

Weekly events might include a senior chorus that travels to nursing homes once a month; afternoon bridge & games and a bridge club. Special events in the summer, 2002, include a picnic in the park, senior luau birthday party, breakfast out, beach party bingo, Hays fair, and seniors-only mystery trips.

The Douglas Annex is equipped with a large activity room, computer lab, kitchen, lounge, and television. The Hays Center is equipped with an indoor shuffleboard court, social meeting room, kitchen, and a piano.
