Area of Interest Teaches courses in health economics, economic analysis of antitrust, and microeconomic theory. Research focuses on economic aspects of health care policy, and examines the efficiency of HMO-provider contracts. Current research on effects of hospital mergers supported by U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. Also examining various issues related to long-term care.
